"The Trickster"

"Then Coyote, that wildly mischievous trickster, got involved. He placed the Coyote Star (possibly Antares) in the heavens but grew impatient with what he felt was the maddeningly slow, plodding fashion in which Black God approached this task. Unable to contain his frustration, Coyote impulsively grabbed Black God's pouch and flung its contents across the sky. This is why some stars have names and others do not, why some stars are arranged in near patterns and the ones Coyote hurled about seem randomly scattered." This boulder does not have a name, and seems to have been randomly placed on this ridge in central Arizona by "The Trickster." ~ Photo taken outside of Payson, Arizona on Feb. 5, 2008 ~
