The unique summit register...
The unique summit register found in the summit cairn has stood the test of time since 1988 when it was put up there. A tube of grease is even included so you can apply a new coating to the threads. Someone went to a lot of effort for this one

Thanks Gary, it was amazing to find that register, totally unique. Even the thought of putting a tube of grease inside so the threads could be lubricated every time someone opened it was thinking way ahead. Not many people make it to Rhodes Peak, it is hard just to get to the TH. Here's another shot of the register you might enjoy

Yes indeed! The summit looks very untrampled and the cairn-anchor for the register is a perfect blend-in.
