The view east from the summit...
The view east from the summit on May 17, 2005. On the horizon is the Kettle Range. The gray dot is Copper Butte.
It was interesting to note the contorted shapes of the trees on the windward south side of Bonaparte. They reminded me of trees you see on hillsides on the Pacific coast.
