The view roughly NW from the summit. At center is Sharkfin Tower (8,120+ ft). Sharkfin provides excellent rock for fun technical climbing (orthogneiss of the Eldorado Suite). On the other hand, the red rock immediately to the left (west) is total crap for climbing on (see this picture for a closer look). Sharkfin Col is the deep notch between Sharkfin Tower and the red rock. Forbidden Peak is beyond. On the right is the Boston Glacier; on the left is the Quien Sabe Glacier. July 29, 2000.
