The View SW from Edith Cavell summit

One of the many spectacular peaks seen from the summit of Edith Cavell. Mt. Hooker, rising above the Hooker Icefield. When this peak was first discovered it was though to be about 17,000 feet high, which made it the tallest mountain known in North America. That misconception lasted decades until a more accurate survey was done. August 2008.
