This rugged terrain due north...
This rugged terrain due north of Fancy Pass is part of the long Holy Cross Ridge in the same named wilderness. The famed fourteener can theoretically be accessed from this point, but if it has been done, I'm not aware of this monumental feat. Fancy Pass is the lowest point in Holy Cross Ridge, which rises to the south once more to border the Missouri Lakes basin on the northeast. IU Trekkers outing, Holy Cross Wilderness, Summer, 2004.
