Fun Ski
4/23/16: Good snow, continuous from summit to well below Thomas Lakes, short ski carry section on the trail, then snow back to the trailhead. Had to park just short of the trailhead, maybe 1/2 mile, due to snow.
4/15/17: Good snow high, great timing for good corn in the bowl. Less snow lower down than last year. A lot of dry trail over the first roughly 2 miles and skis were on and off a few times. On the plus, easily got to the trailhead this year, just a little mud right below the TH, otherwise dry and clear.

a fun solo tour
I was looking for an easy mountain to ski from, and Sopris was the perfect one for me (and not too far from home). And I was not really alone, there were many skiers up there. What a tour… I think I will come and ski this again...
