Thompson's Paintbrush (Castilleja thompsonii)

Castilleja thompsonii is the common paintbrush in central Washington and southern B.C. It is found on in the sagebrush or dry forest slopes from low elevations up to mid-elevations in the mountains. This photo was taken at the Sand Hills near Washtucna, WA.
