Great fun  Sucess!

Probably should have gotten more sleep for this one LOL. Hiked all the way to HOL campground the day before, arriving 11:30pm and then heading up to Thunderbird at 6am. Returned to HOL that evening, ate dinner, packed up, and then went to BOL camp. This was a long couple of days. But, Thunderbird was quite rewarding. Route finding was a little challenging. With Ben and Andrew.

Bucket List  Sucess!

Date may be wrong. A very involved effort. Did not mark my entry to the Thunderbird Glacier and wound up lost for an hour in the sun. Had to hike afterward to Kootenai Lakes and wound up with boot rot and blisters. Poor planning really. Took the goat trail and thought about 9125 but was satisfied with Thunderbird. Its just what a mountain ought to look like. Brown Pass is horribly ugly and buggy, but also made a good base camp for Boulder Peak. Hoped for others but I was barely walking after my feet got soaked by rain and wet plants on the hike in, then the climbing.

THUNDERBIRD MTN  Sucess!

VERN INGRAHAM AND I CLIMBED THE W FACE TRAVERSE ROUTE FOLLOWING ASCENTS OF SENTINEL AND PK 9125(WORTH THE ADD'L EFFORT) FROM OUR BASE CAMP AT BOWMAN PASS CG. WE RETURNED TO A WRECKED TENT WITH GRIZ PRINTS CROSSING IT! THE BEAR REMOVED VERN'S CLEAN PAIR OF SHORTS FOR OUR RETURN TRIP TO WATERTON AND CONSUMED MAYBE 20% OF HIS FOAM SLEEPING PAD AFTER RIPPING TEARS IN HIS SLEEPING BAG. NO FOOD WAS IN OR NEAR THE TENT...WE SUSPECT THE SCENT OF THE CLINGFREE SHEETS USED TO WASH HIS CLOTHES MIGHT HAVE BEEN RESPONSIBLE
