Snow still on Timp

I am absolutely amazed at this photo showing the amount of snow and ice still on the mountain. I hiked it last year many times and would never had imagined there could be this much left this year.

holy crap!

I skied the icefield on Aug 1 1998 and there was enough snow just down to Emerald Lake, but no more. So, just when did the massive wildflowers emerge last year?
