Timpanogos Eruption

This vertical cloud made it look like Mount Timpanogos was erupting, seen from the summit of Lone Peak to the northwest. 8/9/08

That's a sweet photo! Photoshop the clouds a little lower, add some lava--the destruction of Utah Valley!

Re: ****

I'm not sure how that cloud ended up so narrow and vertical, but it was pretty cool. It's funny, cause a friend from work commented that my little Photoshop touch-ups made the Lone Peak trip report look like something from Lord of the Rings. I'll have to do some more work on this one to get the complete volcano effect.

Nice Shot

That is one funky looking cloud formation.

Re: Nice Shot

There were thunderclouds all around the Uintas and Wasatch later in the day, so maybe the developing storm had something to do with it.
