Timpanogos Glacial Ice 2016

Timpanogos Glacial Ice 2016

Me holding a fragment of ice from the Timpanogos Glacier on September 3, 2016. I dug this up and chipped it off with a shovel at the edge of the meltwater pit in one of my other photos. The bubbles in the ice were from the original snow that fell to become compacted into ice. Had enough ice built up above it, they would eventually have been squeezed out. Taken by Sam Dunford
