Approaching the Tipoff. This is a very scenic area at the junction of the South Kiabab and the Tonto Trail. Unfortunately, it is also sacrificed as a throughfare for first timers and the masses heading to ever popular Bright Angel. I only use the BA and Kiabab as first legs to more remote and equally attractive locations in the Canyon. This is at first light.
