Tomales BayTom and I left McClures Beach and drove back south over the hills to Heart's Desire Beach on the west shore of Tomales Bay. As peaceful and serene as this bay is the San Andreas Rift Zone runs right down it and has actually created the bay as the Point Reyes peninsula drifts northwest on the Pacific Plate away from the southeasterly North American Plate like 2 giant ships grinding past one another in the night.
