Top of Donovan (5.2)

Looking down the route-- usually, the base is not underwater. At the bottom of the picture, the tip of my hiking boot provides some scale and perspective. I have soloed this 5.2 route several times in both rock shoes and hiking boots, and it is an easy route, but remember that you can die just as easily from a fall off a 5.2 as you can from a fall off a 5.12d. Because it is Class 5, roping up for this is recommended. Great Falls Park, VA-- March 2010
