Torment-Forbidden traverse - view from Torment | [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
Forbidden Peak dominates the skyline to the east of Mount Torment. The Torment-Forbidden traverse comprises one mile of continuous climbing along the ridge at center. Fortunately, it does not attempt to pass over the large gendarmes in the foreground, but instead traverses them on the north side. The hideously melted out north face of Mount Buckner (an objective we had to abandon on this trip) is to the right of Forbidden. August 25, 2006.

Voted 10/10 | Actually Steve, Buckner is to the right of Forbidden, and that's Mt. Logan to the left. I suspect you merely swapped left and right like I sometimes swap east and west. -Bob | | Posted Dec 31, 2006 4:07 am |
