Towering above Ehrwald

If you' re on the western side of the Ehrwalder valley you get a beautiful view of Ehrwald below the walls of the Zugspitz massif.

While you' re in Ehrwald your' re seeing that Zugspitze is big (compare with this image) but only this view gives you an idea of the real size...

Yeah, that looks like a true ruler of German Alps!

Pity I encountered rather poor weather staying in Garmisch late October last year, but still... visited Olympic ski jumping hill with some old Adam Malysz's record jump commemorated on one board there hehhh ;)))

	Hasn't voted	I like that view with the small houses of Ehrwald all around... And remember Zugspitze is almost 2km higher! Yeah, weather can be bad in Garmisch if the clouds come from the north. The problem is that if the clouds made it to Garmisch they usually stay there for a while (seems that they like Garmisch ;)). Cheers Lukas

Weather.

I, while staying in Munich, visited Garmisch on the 29th of November 2010, and it got really cloudy by the time I made it to the Zugspitze.
So, rather than give up, I took the train back down to Garmisch the next day and the weather was much better!

	Voted 10/10	Lukas, I always enjoy Munich-went to see the BMW Museum this last time and went to that soccer game where Munich crushed Frankfurt, I think the score was 4 to 1? I also really enjoyed the Christmas markets-that Gluwein(sp?) is good stuff!!!
