We hiked over Towne BM on the way to Panamint Butte. Other peaks on our 4 day trip included the Surprise Canyon Wilderness Highpoint, Tucki Mtn., Canyon Point, Panamint Butte, Pinto Peak, Nelson Range HP, and Malpais Mesa HP.

Up to the ridge from Towne Pass, we passed over Towne BM on the way to Panamint Butte.

6 days in the desert
Fairly straightforward. We spotted the crashed plane on the south slopes. Other things we did on this trip include Ord, Eureka Dunes HP, Sandy Point, Last Chance, Chocolate, Tucki, and Ibex Dunes HP.
Solo climb from Towne Pass. I heard about the Albatross wreck, so I had to check it out. It is a strange sensation to be able to see my car for so long while on the mountain, but it gave me incentive to return quickly (seeing as it was very cold out and I had a bottle of Bailey's waiting in it)!

2008 October 19: Solo hike to the summit and back.
2008 October 26: With Rick Kent and Seahorse. After the peak, we descended Panamint Canyon to Lake Hill Road on the floor of Panamint Valley.
Climbed the peak a couple months ago with Rick Kent and Matthew Holliman. For the descent, we opted for the easy technical North Fork of Dolomite Canyon.

Albatross!Fall 2012
