With Cinnamon  Sucess!

With Rachael. Southeast ridge from the switchback low on the Slate River Road. We wanted a little longer hike than just from Paradise Divide and this added maybe 6 miles RT and 1400 vertical. We also climbed over Cinnamon on the way down. Great views from the summit, and the finish on the ridge was a fun narrow section with slabby rock.

Cold but Great Views  Sucess!

Climbed it basically straight up the south side after missing the trail but the summit was worth it.

SE ridge  Sucess!

Fantastic views over the Elks from here. I actually found the shale scree to be quite enjoyable...for scree that is :)

Fabulous Views  Sucess!

Pretty easy for a 13'er (basically a walk up) and the views are stunning. Highly recommend if you are in the CB area. Democarat Basin is also stunning.

From Paradise Divide/SE Ridge  Sucess!

The drive up and down Slate River Road through Pittsburg in a 2006 Accord was...interesting. Narrow, couple big ruts, and cattle thrown in free of charge! Hike up was pretty straightforward, and fun. Met two other hikers, and we shared the summit. The views were a bit obscured by haze on the way up, but it cleared on the downclimb. Spectacular! Just hope that at least one of the slides I shot looking back towards the Bells from just above the Cinnamon/Treasury saddle turns out. Would hike this again.

From Paradise Divide  Sucess!

Parked at Paradise Divide, climbed Cinnamon Mountain, and then continued up Treasury's SE ridge. A comparatively easy Elk hike with awesome views of the Maroon Bells, Sleeping Sexton, Capitol, Snowmass & Hagerman. A recent fall snowstorm made the scenery extra spiffy.

Route Climbed: up South East Ridge/ down Yule Pass Route Date Climbed: July 23, 2004  Sucess!

A wonderful and scenic mountain. Treasury is now an easy favorite for its fun and interesting routes, incredible views, and intrigueing geology. The summit ridge of Treasury Mountain reminds me of Half Peak for the way it narrows and flirts with precipitious drops yet never quite becomes real difficult. A great mountain. The excitement of being chased off by a malicious storm certainly added to the way it engraved itself in my memory. Along for the Ride was my friend Steve, and my dogs Raymond and Sopris.
