Pigne D'arolla offers a fantastic ski tour option even in late season as a result of Arolla's high elevation. Just be sure to get an early start before the snow turns to crap. It can be skiied in a morning from Arolla via the Cabane de Vignette if you're fit. Then one need not carry a wallet heavy with Swiss franks.

The views of Wallis are stunning and inspiring!
