Route conditions were good, but we turned around 120 meters from the summit. We were held up for 2.5 hours by incompetent climbers at the bergschrund at ~5530 meters. What used to be a ramp is now a 5 meter section of WI 2+. Finally getting through at 12:30 in the afternoon we get to the upper bergschrund (~5840) meters at 2:45 in the afternoon and decide that we need to turn around or risk descending in the dark.
Wind was high but not bad. Clouds were in and out. A fun climb, it's too bad we weren't able to summit. I learned that next time you have to push and shove your way through when people are holding you up.Images
