We have been climbing the Deming/Coleman Route in one day form Heliotrope Ridge Trailhead. Leave about 1:00 AM with a day pack, summit by 9:30AM and back to the car by 3:00PM. You do miss the alpine stay on the mountain which is a factor why we go into the mountains, but the one day approach is an option.
