We parked at Devil's lake and hiked up to Moraine Lake to camp. It wasn't as crowded as I anticipated. Definitely pays to go during the week as opposed to the weekend. The campsites are about 100 feet or so above the lake so look for the little trail that goes off to the right before you descend the main trail down to Morraine lake.
We got an early start in the morning to get as much climbing in as possible before it got hot. The trail is very easy to follow so you may want to get going well before the sun comes up. Gaiters are a good idea because of the scree. We thought we had the mountain to ourselves until we started down and came upon a Saturday morning crowd that was beyond belief. Like I said, you may want to go during the week!
