Arrived at the parking area by the mine in Horseshoe Basin about 7:00 am. Some snow in the area but it didn't look like too much so decided to leave the snowshoes in the car (mistake). Took the crampons and ice axe though.

Beautiful hike back into the basin under Argentine and then start up the trail that angles up the ridge. All of the snow had settled on the trail! Lots of postholing in the middle of the trial, so stayed to the sides.

Weather was cloudy but good, made my way up to the pass and then continued up the east ridge to Edwards summit. Had the whole place to myself all day. Did see people on the summit of Grays and a couple of motorcylclists down in Horseshoe Basin.

Edwards is a fun and gentle climb using this route and would be good for families. The trail is a snow collector so August may be the best time for a family climb.
