During my training, I talked my wife into allowing me to spend a month at one of the small hospitals on the Navajo Reservation. Since I had 3 of 4 weekends off, I asked one of my brothers to come out and we would do a 3 day backpack in Canyonlands NP.

3/4-6/95

We round tripped from Squaw Flats. We spent our first night on a shelf in Dark Canyon, the second night in Cheslers Park. We had planned to see Druid Arch on the hike over to Cheslers Park but I had been feeling bad since leaving Squaw Flats we opted to shorten the day. There's not much more to add. Scenery and color without rival. Instead of me typing boring drivel go see the pictures. Come in early spring/late fall and soak this amazing place up!
