Getting to Annapolis RockAnnapolis Rock is located near Rt. 40, west of Frederick, Maryland. It's a bit more than an hour from Washington, D.C. and/or Baltimore. Very accessible. Difficulty and AccessibilityIn terms of difficulty, Annapolis Rock is moderate at best. It's about 2.5 miles to the top. It's get your blood moving, and your breath to quicken, but is easily accessible for children and adults. You'll spend portions of the hike on the Appalachian Trail.
