I've looked at this peak for some time now. Just the name sounds cool - cool enough that they made a film or play or something over here by the same name. It's an archetypal looking place especially from the north although I hear the view from the south (Telfs)is even cooler. Anyway, we finally did the 8 or 9 hour roundtrip hike and about 5000 or so vertical. There's an easy via ferrata between some of the sub-peaks on top. Some wag created some rock-o-glyphics formations on the rather large grassy flats on the western saddle near the descent. Kind of Elysian field looking. The local authorities are installing a major avalanche control system near the east summit and you will find a sinister looking mars landing infrastructure up there to support the construction. East side looks like a great ski on those rare occasions when snow is safe.
