Overview

Back in 1992 I hiked into Mount Whitney and made a solo 3-pin telemark descent of the Mountaineer's Route. During that same trip I also skied the north face a couple of times, summitting Mt. Whitney a total of 3 times.

The key is to be lazy and get a late start. Lounge on the summit to let things soften up a bit. Oh, yeah, and don't fall.

Skis: Black Diamond Tele Sauvage
Bindings: Riva cables
Boots: Asolo Extreme single leathers

Yes, it was sick now that I look back at it -- I should have been wearing a HELMET! I believe it was about the 4th of July.
