One at a time is good hygiene...;-)

It has been a while since Randy and I have been on an alpine trip. We have tried! Oh believe me we have. Either dates don’t jive or climbs don’t jive or life steps in. Randy asked me last week to join him on The Tooth. I was pumped! By Wed. I so needed to be back in the mountains! Don just returned from Alaska with stories to tell and he joined us.

Two incredible friends, no getting up early, a hike to get the stupid heart rate pumping, perfect weather, surprisingly good rock to play on, learned a lot more, easy climbing, and pure blissful fun!!! Can it get any better? Not in my book...

The hike in is now mostly snow free. The snow just above Source lake is melting out fast with many huge bridges to be careful of. Then no more snow till the basin below Pineapple Pass. We scrambled up last gully then scrambled around to the notch that begins the climb. The climbing was FUN!!!

Nothing more than exposed 5.4. Many spots it is C4 and low 5 so the climbing was fast.

The cat walk was too much fun.

Lots of comfy holds and easy climbing for about 4 pitches. I could have just peed my past with excitement. I just love rock and climbing it!

We hung out for a long time pointing and talking about peaks, summits, and list ticking. the weather and the summit was nice with views from Baker to Rainier. Gotta love our Wa Alpine!! All this 1 hr from home!

4 rappels later and some scrambling to get back to the basin. A great fun hike out in good late afternoon/eve light.

So great to get out with ya on another peak randy!!! Don as you know it is always a pleasure to get out with you! Thanks for a great day you two. good times!!

I was the only one with a camera so we all swapped it back and forth for pure entertainment. DonB took the best shots!

...Tazz, hope you know I wasn't being a smart ass about class 4 stuff...just poking fun at "C4" notation (implying stiff, stiff aid climbing rating ;)
Nice TR & photos.
