| Spent entirely too much time wandering around the true summit looking for the register, that apparently doesn't exist (maybe the billions of ants ate it). Had to settle for signing the register on the false summit. | ||

| Had to come back and claim the true highpoint of Tuckaway on the far west end of the contour with Susan Paul. The easiest line on the boulder was snowed under, so I hop from the western boulder did the trick. This marked a re-finish of the 37 ranked summits of El Paso county for me. | |

| I *thought* I had climbed this one, but a field report named a previously unknown high point west of the recognized summit--a low 5th class boulder out at the end of the long summit ridge. GPS confirmed that it is indeed about 30 feet higher. I made it! | |

| With "Runs-Down-Fast-Mountain", Mount Garfield, Kineo Mountain & 8130. The highest point of "Tuckaway Mountain" is located in the western end of the closed contour and requires fifth class climbing to reach the top. | |

| Started just before sunrise to get decent weather. Still got snowed on at the top; temps below 40 almost the whole trip. Descended Bear Creek Canyon & climbed over the ridge to get back to the TH. | |
