Tufted Evening-Primrose

Tufted Evening-Primrose

We found this Tufted evening-primrose in one of the exposed soils not far from a burn area between Mammoth and Sepulcher Mountain. My guidebook says that they bloom near sunset, then wither and die by the end of the next day. This means, I suppose, that we hit it the morning after its bloom. Mid-June 2008.
