Neat little playground!  Sucess!

Have neglected this area for years but will have to return when the weather is too severe for Sierra hiking. Great for wandering as well as peakbagging.

Desert Playground  Sucess!

I've hiked up Grouse Mountain, Buttermilk Hill, Tungsten Point, Peak 5331 and some unnamed hills. I also ran the Bishop 50K through this area several times in the past.

Spare time  Sucess!

Hiked the trail near Millpond to the summit marker - I don't really know or care if it was the true highpoint. Great place to wander with a little spare time near Bishop!

Many Piles  Sucess!

So many piles, so close to home! Enjoyed a boot glissade down a snowy chute too.

Tungsten Hills' High Point and Tungsten Point  Sucess!

I love the hills. They make me want to wave my arms in the air and sing like Julie Andrews in "The Sound of Music." This winter and spring Jon and I have ran around all over them, going to high points and peering down mine shafts.
