This is one of those scenes leaving you happily struggling for words, and believe it when I say the picture doesn't begin doing justice to what's out there!

(Ridge taking up lower left is from Appistoki Peak; Sinopah Mountain runs down to the lake, with Mount Rockwell anchoring the other end of the great ridge; Lone Walker, to the immediate right of Sinopah appears somewhat diminutive in perspective (actually, compared to the Sinopah/Rockwell massif, it is); Mount Helen is the next big mountain to the right, with Mount Phillips buried in snow further right and behind Helen; red ridge at far right is from Rising Wolf Mountain.)
