From FS 376 near San Isabel Date Climbed: Nov 25, 2012
Tom and I hiked this peak from the San Isabel side. This trailhead is accessible year-round and while the hike to the summit of UN 11580 is longer from this approach, the drive is certainly more civilized, at least for residents of the Front Range communities. We didn't have a whole lot of snow - maybe up toe 6 inches in spots - but the quiet woods were nice and we had some views of Pikes Peak and the southern aspect of Greenhorn Mountain.
