Hasn't voted | Could I park for a day hike in early May at the Hall Valley Campground and make it up to Burning Bear? Seems like a similar hiking distance. | |

Hasn't voted | Hi, While I didn't take that route, it seems like a reasonable option. You'll likely have plenty of snow in early May, but nothing intolerable, and I agree the distance from Hall Valley seems similar to the distance for the route I posted. I suggest checking to see if the campsite is open for the season prior to planning on parking there. It should open Memorial Day weekend, FYI. Sarah | |
