Excellent info. I've had my eye on this feature for awhile, as there is a geocache located up there. One hiker tried this hike at the end of the day, and got hurt coming down in twilight--had to be air-evac'ed. Having good info takes that stain off it for me. Thanks!

Peakmule - that's a crazy story, and one I hadn't heard... when did this happen? Is the hiker okay? It's definitely not an easy hike by any route... since you wrote this, I'll put some info on the western slopes route as well - it's far easier than the NE face.

I wonder when the geocache was put there - I didn't see it when I climbed this last spring ('course maybe I missed it).

Also, thanks for the vote and positive input - good climbing to you!

The accident happened last September, shortly after the 'cache went live. Long story short, poor guy fell off a cliff (or down a near-vertical slope), got his bell rung and broke a wrist. He got a cell call out to 911, gave his coordinates, and rescue found him later that evening. They sat with him until dawn, when a chopper took him away. He was so impressed with the SAR volunteers that I think he's joining them.

Would love to see another route if you've got one :-) Again, great job. Quite an impressive looking hunk o' rock. Good climbing to you too.

Good page. If the weather link is timetemperature.com is doesn't work very often any more.

Thanks... yeah, I need to find a new place to get the temp. Looks like there are a couple good ones out there.

Thanks! I'm almost scared to create a site for the other mountains I climbed back in the day - the pics with the old camera just don't compare....
