Long Time Ago  Sucess!

Did this one years ago. Great scenic hike, aspens were just changing, perfect weather. Summit wasn't all so great, but this is one of those mountains were it's the journey, not the destination.

Via Stanley Canyon  Sucess!

Oy vay, the bushwack from the road to this peak is heinous! I had two leashed dogs with me and I'm COVERED in scrapes and bruises. Deadfall, rocks, small crowded young trees...you name it. Much of the time I resorted to the King Cong method of bushwacking: That is, just crashing through whatever's in my way hoping it'll give. I summitted two outcrops to the SW of the highpoint of the road, both with piping on top marking (surveying? dunno...) indicating a summit of some sort. Nice sunny day, but my two old (9.5 and 12 years old) dogs crapped out toward the end of the hike down the canyon. Poor old dawgs are zonked out at this point. Dogs: Lady & Bing.

Nice hike  Sucess!

Nice hike. Shannon stepped on a wasp nest and got stung on the calf. Dangit!
