| My wife and I obviously took the "Hakes Route," as there was nothing subtle about this route. We parked at an opening along FR239 on the west side,(39-11.835N, 105-37.245W), set our GPS and pointed our noses almost straight west. We immediately started to gain major elevation, and soon found cliffs directly ahead. We navigated around to the north ridge and found easy passage to the summit. We were, respectfully, the 6th and 7th persons to sign the register this year. Unfortunately, someone had removed the pages containing Sarah Simon's entry, and that of the great Bob Martin. A fun, steep summit. | |

| Surprised to see this little 9er on sp. Nice job, Sarah! I was able to drive all the way to the south saddle as FR-239 crests it. That made for a short 30 min RT hike. Nice little peak which combines well with the Puma Peak group. | |

| This is a pleasant, if super-short, hike to a neat, rocky summit. Great dog hike. We were able to sleep in, enjoy a liesurely breakfast, and still enjoy sunny summit views this day. Hiking partner: Husband. Dogs: Lady, Bing & Lela. | |
