In the middle of everything
With Megan and Katie, both 9. Backpacking up E Snowmass into Willow Basin, why not pick up the peak above the pass? I've visited this top many times, typically as the end of the long (and delightful) walk along the ridge separating the E Snowmass and Snowmass drainages.
Climbed as part of a long loop of East Snowmass Creek drainage. Started at the Ditch Trail in Snowmass Village, went up Willoughby and then traversed the ridge via PT 13020, PT 13336, PT 13244 and Baldy then descended the ski slopes back to the Ditch Trail and the car. The ridge from PT 13336 to PT 13244 was tough, lots of loose stuff and lots of routefinding difficulties, if the rock was better it would be a classic though.
