While the Blue Lakes Trail is very popular, the upper west Blue Lakes offer plenty of solitude and excellent views. One of the best views of Mt. Sneffels with Blue Lake below.

Headed up Twice
We headed up above Lower Blue Lake twice - on Wednesday afternoon and then on Friday morning. We would have liked to have bagged one of these peaks but the weather wasn't cooperating, and we were tired to boot after climbing Sneffels the day before.
