Upper Section

Having climbed the first rock step, this is the view of the summit block. From this perspective, it doesn't look too difficult or far. Looks can be deceptive though! From here it is about 3 hours to the summit. The Phoenix Route climbs up through the rocks just left of centre via an invisible couloir. The mixed climbing up to the summit is invisible from here, but is just over the other side of the rocks.
