Part of the Beatout with the Wasatch Mountain Club. The Initials of the peak stand for, "Un-named Peak West of the Pfeifferhorn"
Started in Alpine at the "Lehi , went up to 1st Hamengog, then up the Lake Hardy trail to Chipman and across Lightning ridge to Upwop (Airplane Peak). Some terrific scrambling to be had on that ridge. The winds were whipping and saw a guy's hat fly off his head and down into Hogum Gulch. He wasn't getting that one back ;) Best views I've ever seen of Pfeifferhorn from Upwop. Absolutely stunning.

Made the summit as part of the Beatout Hike with David and Kendrick. The views were among the best I've seen in the Wasatch, thanks in part to some cool, cloudy weather. See "Misty Mountains" trip report for details.

I did the Beatout Route with Brandon and Kendrick. It was an incredibly scenic route. It was a long day but worth it. (Pfiefferhorn, Upwop, Chipman, South Thunder).
