been away, hence late reply. The contrast between the chilly mornings and the roasting afternoons was quite marked. We try to keep the strolling pace up on descents as the later the time in the afternoons the softer and more tiring the snow. In this shot as you can see its pretty hot but the snow crust is still holding up well. The somebody was my Liverpudlian fellow climber Ken who captured the shot and we're 'just good friends'
