There are lots of lakes in the Big Horn Mountain range and these are just a few of the ones you see from Cloud Peak. This shot was taken during descent and the picture just doesn't do justice to what the eye beholds.

Voted 10/10 | caught in an exposed area during a lightning
storm. Things could "heat up" in a jiffy. Glad
you guys were able to outrun the nasty storms!! | | Posted Jul 30, 2008 1:43 pm |

Hasn't voted | The word "outrun" is not descriptive of my hiking speed. "outwalk" would be more like it.
Dennis just finished an impressive trip where he bagged Montana's Granite, the Grand Teton,
Cloud and Wyoming Peaks(with me) and Gannett (without me). I opted to do Colorado's Elbert Peak as Gannett was beyond my pack carrying ability. BTW, I had a perfect weather day on Elbert. Lots of people on that mountain. | | Posted Aug 2, 2008 7:32 am |

Voted 10/10 | Sorry, "outrun" was a bad choice of words.
You were able to "out-maneuver" the inclement
weather; based upon your organizational skills and uncanny sense of direction !!!
