Yes, it looks nice now, but a ranger working there told me that in the 1950's, the National Park Service had to clean away years of garbage and refuse before even getting to the base of the wall. Seems the natives threw all their waste out of the dwelling to the ground below, and it had festered for years. It might have even been the reason they abandoned it. I guess they were not as environmentally conscious as commonly portrayed in the movies.
