Occupation: Retired in Place

Partner Details: My wife, the amazing Nurse Ratchet is my regular partner, but occasionally we like to get together with new folk, and always interested in new areas.

A Few Words: It is with much sadness and regret to report that Brutus of Wyde has passed away, the result of a motor vehicle accident. He was on his way to go climbing when the accident occurred.

Brutus was a special member of the SP community, loved by his friends and associates and always a fun presence here at SP. He will be tremendously missed. Our hearts go out to his family and friends, and the SP community extends its condolences to all that knew and loved him. Brutus was a great climber and a superb individual. His presence at SP and in our lives will be deeply missed.

Those wishing to add to this text are encouraged to contact the SP staff. This profile page will remain in place at SP as a memorial to this wonderful fellow climber and friend to so many.

Rest in peace, Brutus, and climb on.

Brutus of Wyde Appreciation Discussion

Live like you climb: Be cautious, stay safe, but don't forget to enjoy each step of the journey and to be willing to take risks to acheive your dreams as well.

"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. " -- Helen Keller
