I take 3 months holiday each year and spend it mountaineering abroad. I prefer non-guided expeditions to mountain ranges far away from infrastructure and the tourist industry - typically 4-5000 m peaks in the Andes, Caucasus and Mongol Altai.
If there's even the slighest possibility of snow, I'm taking my skis with me.
