In July 2006 I am heading for Punta Gnifetti (4554m) and hoping to spend a night on top in Rifugio Capanna Margherita. See you there!
I actually went to Margherita on the summer 2006, but I messed up my memory cards and was forced to take only a limited number of photos there. And they were not too good.
Fortunatelly I will try to climb there again this summer (2007) for some more photos.
In 2007 I was also lucky. I summited Zumstein and Signalkuppe with my guide Paolo (from Domodossolo). Sleeping at Margherita was once again worth the experience. All my four days on the Italian Alpine summits have been sunny. In about one month (July 2008)I am headed for the round-the-year Christmas land, Zermatt. Nope, not to climb Matterhorn. Too extreme for me. I am going to Allalinhorn this time.
