A Few Words: I have always loved hiking. As a teacher I am afforded the luxury of off-peak travel. I have authored several guide books - 100 Classic hikes in Southern California, Best Hikes with Dogs: Southern California which are both available for purchase in bookstores and online - published by the Mountaineers Books. I am currently finishing five pocket books for Falcon Guides - Best Easy Day Hikes in Riverside, San Bernardino, San Gabriel Valley, San Diego, and South Bay. I write a hiking column for the Press Enterprise, and am the top hike reporter on www.localhikes.com. I have won awards for my photography, journalism, and guide books. I am married to the love of my life, Monique, the most beautiful woman in the world. I have three children, Michael - 15, and Sierra and Makaila, 4
