After living in Oregon since 1992, I finally started to get into the woods in fall 2004, firstly hunting culinary mushrooms and then starting to hike. Hiking was mostly so that I could stay in shape for soccer season, but I have now caught the 'bug'.

My goal is to get out for an afternoon or full day once a week between Monday to Friday. I have flexibility in my work schedule that makes this possible, and that keeps the weekend open for my family activities.

In the past couple of months, I have hiked the Eagle Creek trail, Devil's Rest, Hunchback Mountain, West Zigzag (2.18.05), Forest Road 1828 to Top Spur to Timberline Trail (2.11.05), and the Cool Creek Trail to Devil's Peak almost down to the Salmon River and back again (2.03.05).

I mostly hike with my soccer mate, Anthony, and we are looking for other companions. My photo was taken on the Top Spur trail on Feb 11 2005.
